Roast Beef Sandwich with Horseradish-Dill Sauce

This sandwich keeps well in a lunchbox or cooler, and the flavors of the meat, cheese, onions and arugula meld beautifully with the creamy sauce.


For the sauce


  1. Arrange the bread on a work surface. Spread the sauce evenly over the bread. 
  2. Divide the arugula evenly among half of the bread slices, then top with the roast beef, cheese and onions. 
  3. Close up the sandwiches and cut in half.

For the sauce

  1. Stir together the cream cheese, horseradish, lemon juice, zest and dill. 
  2. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
